Sorry, kids, there will be no food this week, we had to buy a mixed media collage.

Plan:
1. Buy art from young artist.
2. Tell all friends to spread the word that young artist (Allan Tuttle) is the next big thing.
3. Observe as word spreads and future works get snapped up like hotcakes.
4. Trade in art for giant mansion.
5. The End.

Sushi = Sushi Samba 7 (87 7th ave. 212.691.7885) make a reservation on the roof garden. it's a little expensive but really cool - a nice place for a romantic dinner.

Sunday brunch = Bowery Bar Patio

Bakery = Magnolia's (11th street and Bleeker in west village, try icebox cake or the famous cupcakes) a good place to stop by for a snack if you are in the neighborhood

Bars = lower east side is better than the east village now (I think)

Rainy day glass of wine = Other Room (west village)

Great brunch = Friend of the Farmer (by Gramercy Park)

Great place for a real special drink = Angle Share (around 9th St. and 3rd or something)

Passer By for Muddled Old Fashions with rye with fresh cherries soaked in grand marnier = heaven

bars in the meat packing district are sometimes cool and sometimes lame and overdone. good ones = west (ok) and radio bar (kick ass)

milk and honey is another excellent bar worth trying to get into but sometimes you need a password and i dont' know what it is...

also when you are drunk and need fancy french fries (i mean *need*) try the Pommes Frites place at 123 2nd Ave. they are really good and they have a really long list of sauces like wasabi aioli and sweet thai chili sauce - it's kind of a drunken new yorker tradition

do you want to see something on broadway? if so do the TKTS line for 50% off - let me know if you need more info. (go to the one in lower manhattan - not time square)

i live on 23rd and 2nd - let me know if you are in my hood and you want some pomme frites or a beer or something.
